BACKGROUND
On March 21, 2017 the City Council approved the Reed & Grant Streets Sports Park architectural design to allow construction of a City-owned public sports park facility that includes soccer fields, a multi-purpose building, a landscaped promenade and entry plaza, a playground/tot lot with seating and picnic areas, team gathering and viewing areas, restrooms, and a maintenance yard and building on a 9.04 acre site.

DISCUSSION
This Tentative Parcel Map is intended to combine Parcels 1 through 6 into one legal parcel consistent with the Reed & Grant Sports Park Plan. The previous Council approval of architectural design allowed for the construction documents to be prepared.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
A Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared for the Reed & Grant Streets Sports Park project and approved by the City Council on March 21, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no impact to the General Fund at this time since Project allocations have been budgeted in Capital Improvement Project #3177 for design, engineering and construction.

This report has been coordinated with the City Attorney's Office.
