SUBJECT

Title

Action on Continuing the Public Hearing for Related Santa Clara Development Area Plan 2 to July 13, 2020

Report

BACKGROUND

City Council action on a Development Area Plan (DAP) is the next step in the land use entitlement process for Phase 2 of the Related Santa Clara project. The Planning Commission conducted a hearing on May 27, 2020 and recommended approval of the Phase 2 DAP. The project was subsequently noticed for City Council consideration at a public hearing on June 23, 2020.

DISCUSSION

Staff recommends that the City Council continue the public hearing for “Action on the Related Santa Clara Development Area Plan 2” to a special City Council Meeting on July 13, 2020 so that there is sufficient time for consideration of the project at a public hearing.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

This is a procedural item only and no action is being taken by the City Council; no environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) is required.

COORDINATION

This report has been coordinated with the City Attorney’s Office.

Public contact was made by posting the Council agenda on the City’s official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall Council Chambers. A hard copy of any agenda report may be requested by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at (408) 615-2220, email clerk@santaclaraca.gov.
