Parks & Recreation Commission Calendar of Meetings for 2021

BACKGROUND
In 1987, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5195 regarding the dates and times of commission meetings. On December 17, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 19-8788 to amend Resolution No. 19-8664 and to establish the Parks & Recreation Commission meeting schedule as 11 meetings per year to be held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. from January through November.
DISCUSSION
At the September 15, 2020 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting, the Commission will review a proposed resolution (Attachment 1) and Parks & Recreation Commission meeting schedule for 2021 (Attachment 2), which includes eleven meetings to be held at 7:00 p.m. on the Third Tuesday of each month from January through November.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a “project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.

Public contact was made by posting the Park & Recreation Commission’s agenda on the City’s official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall Council Chambers. A complete agenda packet is available on the City’s website and in the City Clerk’s Office at least 72 hours prior to a Regular Meeting and 24 hours prior to a Special Meeting. Recommendation
Recommend that Council Approve a Resolution to Set the Parks & Recreation Commission Calendar of Meetings for 2021.
