Santa Clara Women's League Presents Showtime 2025 on March 1 and March 2, 2025

BACKGROUND
As requested by the Santa Clara Women's League, the organization would like to highlight the upcoming Showtime productions on March 1 and March 2, 2025 (Attachment 1). The event is organized by volunteer members of the Santa Clara Women's League. With the production of Showtime, the Santa Clara Women's League has goals to raise funds for the Santa Clara Senior Center to benefit the community such as the Senior Health and Wellness program and the Senior Nutrition program.
The community events are open to all and Showtime 2025 features local talented participants performing an old-fashioned melodrama, olio acts which includes singers, dancers and more. The Showtime events offer food, refreshements, and prizes for attendees. This year's melodrama is entitled "Saga of the Sarsparilla Saloon" or "Tale of the Tainted Tonic."
The Showtime performances will be held at the Community Recreation Center located at 969 Kiely Blvd. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. Admission tickets are $10 each for adults and $5 each for children. DISCUSSION
At the February 11, 2025 City Council meeting, the members of the Santa Clara Women's League will present information to the City Council on Showtime 2025.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City other than staff time.
