BACKGROUND
Council Policy 003 titled “Guidelines for Recognition of Volunteers, Community Leaders and Outstanding Citizens” (Attachment 1) includes the guidelines for recognition of Commissioners who have served on a City Commission. As a practice, on an annual basis, the City has recognized outgoing Commissioners for their years of service at a City Council meeting during Special Order of Business.
DISCUSSION
At the July 15, 2025, City Council meeting, the Mayor and City Council will recognize the following former members for their years of service on the various City Commissions and Committees.

The action being considered does not constitute a “project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact other than City staff time.
