POINTS FOR CONSIDERATION
* The surrounding neighborhood consists of a mix of commercial and residential uses, including designated historic resources, potentially eligible historic properties, and several non-historic structures in the immediate vicinity of the project site. See Vicinity Map in Attachment 1.
* The project site currently contains two single-family residential structures located at 1341 Homestead Road and 906 Monroe Street. The residence at 1341 Homestead Road is a small, approximately 800-square-foot structure and has not been identified as historically significant. The residence at 906 Monroe Street is a one-and-a-half-story wood-frame dwelling designed in the Eastlake architectural style, with an estimated construction date circa 1890. The residence at 906 Monroe Street is listed on the City's Historic Resource Inventory (HRI) as a Mills Act Contract property, Small Plaque, and HT Historic Combining District property.
* The subject site is located within the boundaries of the Downtown Precise Plan.
* The rezoning process to amend the City's zoning map is detailed in Chapter 18.142 of the Santa Clara City Code (SCCC).
