POINTS FOR CONSIDERATION
* The existing two-story single-family residence is located at the southwest corner of Laurie Avenue and Macintosh Street and is in a single-family residential neighborhood, surrounded by one-story and two-story residences. See Vicinity Map in Attachment 1.
* The project site currently contains an existing two-story single-family residence with an existing rear deck and stairs.
* Per the Santa Clara City Code (SCCC) 18.120(D)(1)(d), the request requires Architectural Review approval through a Development Review Hearing.
* The proposed project includes an approximately 310-square-foot addition and an approximately 440 square foot second-floor addition to an existing two-story single-family residence. The first-floor addition adds a front facing living room and entry, and the second-floor addition adds a new den and office area. The second-floor addition is oriented towards the front of the house.
* The proposal also includes a Minor Modification request to allow a reduced second-story interior side setback of 7'-6", where the SCCC requires a second-story interior side setback of 10'-0". The existing second floor currently does not contain a setback from ...
