DISCUSSION

Staff will provide a verbal update on Public Works Engineering design and construction projects related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Committee, including the following:

 

Projects in the Design Phase

                     Central Park New Entrance, Access and Parking Lot Improvements

                     Henry Schmidt Park Playground Rehabilitation

                     Warburton Park Playground Rehabilitation

                     Bowers Parking Lot Rehabilitation Project

                     Emergency Operations Center Security Upgrades

                     International Swim Center Rehabilitation Phase 1

                     2024 Miscellaneous Asphalt and Concrete Rehabilitation Project

                     2026 Annual Street Pavement Maintenance and Rehabilitation

                     Uncontrolled Crosswalks Improvements - Phase 2

                     Lafayette Street Class IV Bikeway and Pavement Rehabilitation

                     De La Cruz, Lick Mill, and Scott Boulevards Bicycle Improvements

 

Projects in the Construction Phase

                     Lick Mill Pedestrian Beacons Upgrade

                     Monroe St - Los Padres Blvd Traffic Signal Modification Project

                     Great America Parkway and Mission College Boulevard Intersection Improvements

                     2025 ADA Curb Ramps

                     2025 Annual Street Pavement Maintenance and Rehabilitation

 

Additionally, included within the upcoming Measure I Infrastructure Bond program, is a $10,000,000 project titled “ADA Improvements.” Staff is in the process of prioritizing this funding consistent with the Council approved ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan and other City priorities.
