POINTS FOR CONSIDERATION
* The proposed project is in a residential tract consisting of both one- and two-story residences. See Vicinity Map in Attachment 1.
* The site is currently developed with a 1,485 square-foot one-story single-family residence.
* Per the Santa Clara City Code 18.120(D)(7), the request requires Architectural Review approval through a Development Review Hearing due to the demolition of the existing residence.
* The project proposes the construction of a new 2,637 square-foot two-story single-family residence. The existing 1,485 square foot home on the site will be demolished. The new residence is designed as a modern two-story four-bedroom three-bathroom residence with white stucco cladding on the first story, wood cladding on the second story and flat roof.
* The project proposes a modern two-story design and would be the first of its kind along Machado Avenue.
