Election of Planning Commission Vice Chair and Secretary if Needed

BACKGROUND
Planning Commissioner Eric Crutchlow was elected to the position of Chair at the August 12, 2026 meeting for the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 which was vacant due to Chair Biagini's resignation from the Commission on July 21, 2026.
Chair Crutchlow previously held the position of Vice-Chair for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. That position is now vacant and will need to be filled.
The Planning Commission will need to vote to elect a new Vice Chair to serve a one-year term. If an incumbent in one of the current officer positions is elected as Vice Chair, voting and election may take place for the remaining position of Secretary. The new officers will assume their positions at the September 2, 2026 Planning Commission meeting.
DISCUSSION
The Planning Commission will need to vote to elect a new Vice-Chair to serve a one-year term. Responsibility of the Vice Chair:
* Substitute for the Chair as needed.
Responsibility of the Secretary:
* Read the invocation, read the agenda items into the record, conduct meeting roll call and be responsible for any updates to the Planning Commission Policies and Procedures. The Secretary will also fill in for the Commission Vice-Chair in their absence.
Fiscal Year 2026/2027 Planning Commission officers are:
* Chair - Eric Crutchlow
* Vice Chair - vacant
* Secretary - Priya Cherukuru
