Joint Dinner Meeting with City Council and the Planning Commission

Report
BACKGROUND
On July 19, 2016, the City Council approved publicly noticed joint dinner meetings in an effort to increase communication between City Council and City boards, committees, and commissions.

DISCUSSION
As a continued commitment to enhance communication between the City Council and boards, committees, and commissions, the City Council will meet with City boards, committees and commissions for regular updates. The Commission makes recommendations with respect to land subdivisions, zoning as prescribed by ordinance, and more.

The Planning Commission will provide the City Council with an update with a summary of projects which have been approved by the Planning Commission and present a list of Land Use Topics recommended for the City Council priority setting process.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This is an information report only and no action is being taken by the City Council and no environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") is required.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City other than staff time.
