Santa Clara Station Area Task Force Review of Chapter 2 - Vision and Goals and Chapter 3 - Land Use

BACKGROUND
The Station Area Task Force (SATF) last met on May 21, 2026. Since that meeting, draft chapters of the Specific Plan were submitted by consultant WRT for City and VTA staff review. The purpose of this meeting is to review two of these chapters with the SATF: Chapter 2: Vision and Goals and Chapter 3: Land Use (Attachment 1).
The draft chapters presented at this meeting incorporate comments provided by City and VTA staff.
DISCUSSION
The purpose of the September SATF meeting is to review and discuss the following Specific Plan chapters:
• Chapter 2 - Vision and Goals: Review the proposed vision, guiding principles, and goals for the Station Area.
• Chapter 3 - Land Use: Review the proposed land use framework, including the organization and distribution of land uses within the Station Area.
Staff will provide an overview of each chapter and facilitate discussion with the SATF.
Feedback received at this meeting, along with comments received from the public at the open house, will inform the next round of revisions to the Specific Plan.
