DISCUSSION
The item approved by the City Manager/Contract Administrator/Executive Director or her designee between July 15, 2020 to August 14, 2020 is as follows:
1. Approved Amendment to MOU with Santa Clara Unified School District for Food Distribution to Extend Term from July 30 to August 7, 2020
The MOU with Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) was originally executed with a term end date of July 30, 2020. This initial term was based on the USDA funding waiver for school districts where funding was available through July 30, 2020.
Subsequent to the execution of the original agreement, USDA granted an extension of the waiver to allow schools to continue the summer nutrition program until the beginning of the school year. SCUSD notified the City that classes would resume on August 17 but requested that the date of the final distribution of food be August 6 in order to allow for a smoother transition.
