BACKGROUND
On July 16, 2021, Ana Segovia submitted the attached resignation from the Senior Advisory Commission effective immediately. Therefore, creating one vacancy on the Commission for a partial-term ending June 30, 2023.

On May 27, 2021 the Council conducted interviews for the Senior Advisory Commission and established an eligibility list from those interviewed which is to expire six months from that date. The council voted and approved to place Suresh Lokiah and Jim Hohenshelt on that list and invite them back to re-interview should a vacancy occur within that timeframe. Staff reached out to both applicants to inquire if there was still an interest to serve on the commission. Both applicants expressed an interest to continue in the process of being re-interviewed.

DISCUSSION
Accept resignation submitted by Commissioner Ana Segovia and declare the vacancy on the Senior Advisory Commission for a partial-term ending June 30, 2023. Invite both applicants on the eligibility list Jim Hohenshelt and Suresh Lokiah back and schedule interviews.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(a) as it has no potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no additional cost to the City other than administrative staff time and expense.
