BACKGROUND
In accordance with the City Clerk’s Office annual workplan process for all Boards, Committees, and Commissions within the City, the Historical and Landmarks Commission (HLC) is required to review and approve its annual workplan prior to forwarding it to the City Council for consideration and approval.
DISCUSSION
Staff has prepared the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 Workplan for review and approval by the HLC. The workplan items included in the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Workplan remain in progress and have not yet been completed. To support continuity and allow the Commission to continue advancing these efforts, staff has carried forward all existing items into the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 Workplan.
The workplan will be provided to the City Council for their approval, which is tentatively scheduled for June 23, 2026, and will be implemented starting in August of this year.
