Continuance of a Rezoning to Remove the Historic Combining District from 1341 Homestead Road (906 Monroe Street to Remain in Historic Combining District) and a Tentative Subdivision Map to subdivide the property into two parcels each containing one of the existing residences.

 

Report

DISCUSSION

Staff are requesting a continuance of this item to the June 10, 2026 Planning Commission meeting because of the lack of staffing available for the May 20, 2026 Planning Commission meeting. The applicants and relevant parties have been notified.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

No environmental determination is necessary for a continuance.  An environmental determination will be included with the June 10th report.

 

PUBLIC CONTACT

A newspaper notice was published in the April 29, 2026 issue of the Santa Clara Weekly describing the proposed project. Should the Commission open the public hearing and then continue the hearing for this project to June 10, 2026, additional noticing will not be required.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

Staff recommend that the Planning Commission open the public hearing on this item and then immediately continue the proposed project to June 10, 2026.
