REPORT TO COUNCIL
SUBJECT
Title
Action on a Resolution Revising the Regular Meeting Date for the Parks & Recreation Commission to the Second Monday of the Month at 7:00 p.m.
Report
BACKGROUND
At its March 19, 2024 meeting, the City's Parks and Recreation Commission made a motion to recommend to the City Council that the day of their regularly scheduled meeting be changed from the third Tuesday of the month to the second Monday of the month to avoid future conflicts with City Council meetings, which also occur on Tuesdays. However, Resolution No. 24-9330 (Attachment 1), which was presented to the City Council for approval at its June 4, 2024 meeting, incorrectly noted the proposed meeting date as the third Monday of the month instead of the second Monday.
A revised resolution is being submitted for the City Council's consideration to correct that error.
DISCUSSION
To align with the Commission's original direction, a new resolution has been drafted to correctly set the date of future Parks and Recreation Commission meetings to the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m., effective July 1, 2024 (Attachment 2). Based upon the revised resolution, the proposed meeting schedule for the rest of calendar year 2024 has also been revised (Attachment 3).
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no cost to the City other than staff time and expense.
