BACKGROUND
Silicon Valley Power (SVP), along with other public power utilities across the United States, celebrate Public Power Week for the first full week of October every year to help customers and stakeholders understand the benefits that a public power utility brings to the community and how they can be better engaged with SVP and benefit from SVP’s programs and services.
DISCUSSION
As a Special Order of Business on October 9, 2018, the Chief Electric Utility Officer will give a PowerPoint presentation on the benefits of public power and the activities during Public Power Week.

This is an information report only and no action is being taken by the City Council and no environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) is required.
