DISCUSSION
This item was initiated by City staff based on perceived business community interest and benefit in having supergraphic signs allowed buildings within the vicinity of Levi’s Stadium during World Cup events. However, the market for such signs and community interest has waned. Accordingly, staff is withdrawing the item from consideration.
Also of note, on April 8, 2026, the item was presented to the Planning Commission for their consideration and recommendation. The Planning Commission voted 6 -1 to deny the proposal.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This item is not a project under CEQA. Therefore, no environmental action is required.
PUBLIC CONTACT
On March 18, 2026, a notice of public hearing was published in The Weekly, a newspaper of general circulation.
