BACKGROUND

The Northern California Cricket Association (NCCA) was established in 1892. NCCA is a prestigious cricket league based out of Bay Area in Northern California. Many of the cricketers were also part of U.S. National Cricket Team.

 

DISCUSSION

On Sept. 27, 2022, the Santa Clara City Council will recognize the NCCA team for their win at the 2022 USA National Interleague T20 Tournament Championship which was held on Sept. 3- 5, 2022.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW

This is an information report only and no action is being taken by the City Council and no environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) is required.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact other than staff time.

This report was coordinated by the Mayor and Council Office.
