BACKGROUND
The Historic Preservation Society of Santa Clara, with the assistance of the Old Quad Residents' Association, sponsored the 2017 Historic Home Tour in Santa Clara on December 1-2, 2017. The annual event raises funds for various City and community groups involved with historic preservation in Santa Clara. The Jamison Brown House, Headen-Inman House, Ricard Memorial Observatory, and four private homes were part of the tour. A total of $20,000 was raised and will be donated to ten different recipients. Of the $20,000 raised, $1,975 will go towards specific City programs and projects.

DISCUSSION
Patricia Mahan and Jeannie Mahan, Co-Chairs of the Historic Preservation Society of Santa Clara and the Old Quad Residents' Association Tour Committee, will present checks to the following recipients: Santa Clara Senior Center Health and Wellness Program, Santa Clara Mission City Library Renovation Project, Santa Clara Preservation Month Walking Tour Brochure, Historic Preservation Society of Santa Clara/Harris Lass House Museum, Old Quad Residents Association, Santa Clara Railroad Museum, Santa Clara Fire Department History Museum, Santa Clara Woman's Club Historic Pena Adobe Restoration Project, Los Fundadores Ancestral Information and Archive Center, and ULISTAC Nature Preserve Park Educational Outreach Program.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(a) as it has no potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
