BACKGROUND
City Charter section 1003 states that each of the boards and commissions of the City shall hold regular meetings as required by ordinance. City Code section 2.120.030 states that each board or commission shall hold regular meetings at the times and on the days indicated by resolution of the City Council, and that such resolution may be amended from time to time by further Council resolution. Resolution No. 5195 (Attachment 1), which was adopted by the City Council in 1987, states that the Senior Advisory Commission shall hold meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

DISCUSSION
At the January 28, 2019 Senior Advisory Commission meeting, the Commission will discuss and recommend the 2019 Senior Advisory Commission meeting schedule (Attachment 2), which includes the start time for each meeting. The recommendation includes a proposed Council resolution (Attachment 3) to establish the meeting schedule and start time and authorization for the Senior Advisory Commission to set its meeting dates and times in the future.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.
