BACKGROUND
Triton Museum, Board President, Jeff Bramschreiber presented a proposal to collaborate on a Midsummer Multicultural Celebration to the Cultural Commission at the August 6, 2018 meeting. On November 5, 2018, Mr. Bramschreiber made a public presentation to the Cultural Commission and provided an update on the Celebration event. In January, 2019 Commissioner Bhatia and Chair von Huene met with Mr. Bramschreiber separately and discussed the elements of the Celebration.

DISCUSSION
The Cultural Commission will receive an event planning update regarding the Celebration event from Mr. Bramschreiber. The Celebration is scheduled for June 29, 2019 on the Triton Grounds. The Commission may discuss and consider collaboration with the Triton Museum's Midsummer Multicultural Celebration in the context of the Commissions' FY 2018-19 Work Plan.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.

Public contact was made by posting the Cultural Commission's agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall Council Chambers. A complete agenda packet is available on the City's website and in the City Clerk's Office at least 72 hours prior to a Regular Meeting and 24 hours prior to a Special Meeting.
