BACKGROUND
According to Resolution No. 5195 (Attachment 1) adopted by the City Council in 1987, the Cultural Commission meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. On April 9, 2019, Council approved Resolution 19-8667 (Attachment 2) which amended the meeting time to 7:00 p.m. and schedule to hold regular meetings at least once a month on Mondays each Month.
DISCUSSION
At the November 4, 2019 Cultural Commission meeting, the Commission will review the proposed regular meeting schedule for 2020 (Attachment 3), which includes eleven (11) meetings at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of the month January through December, except for September.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact other than administrative time and expense to set the meetings.

This report has been coordinated with the City Attorney's Office.

Public contact was made by posting the Cultural Commission's agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall Council Chambers. A complete agenda packet is available on the City's website and in the City Clerk's Office at least 72 hours prior to a Regular Meeting and 24 hours prior to a Special Meeting.
