BACKGROUND
Local Author Marvin J. Sung published his first book, The Book of the Beginning, on October 28, 2020, in hopes that it will lead to creativity and a strong literary foundation for children through art and poetry.
DISCUSSION
As a Special Order of Business at the April 6, 2021 Council meeting, the City Council will recognize Mr. Sung for this achievement by presenting him with a Certificate of Special Mayoral Recognition.

This is an information report only and no action is being taken by the City Council and no environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) is required
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City other than staff time.
