Report
BACKGROUND
The City of Santa Clara Youth Commission's Work Plan Goals for the 2020-21 term included a Health & Wellness component to highlight physical and mental health resources focused on the youth and teen population. The Health & Wellness committee expressed an interest in inviting a health professional familiar with COVID-19 to share current information and best practices. City staff were connected the local Kaiser Permanente Public Affairs Representative with the Youth Commission to schedule Dr. Kann.

DISCUSSION
Dr. Kann will share information on accurate, reliable sources of information on COVID-19, address myths and misconceptions, vaccinations in relation to youth and teens, and how to maintain mental and physical health while adhering to current public health orders. There will also be an opportunity for questions during and after the presentation.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.

Public contact was made by posting the Youth Commission's agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall Council Chambers.
